Supporting Our Clients Through the Coronavirus Pandemic

Here at Office Assistants we have been working hard through the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure all our clients have been able to access the relevant financial support that is available to them.

These are challenging times for all, and it is important to us that we help our business clients as best we can. We’ve ensured full continuity of support by switching part of our team to secure remote working, so that we can carry on providing the services that are so vital during this time, and indeed at any point throughout the business calendar.

We have also donated a week’s worth of fee income by way of pro bono time spent helping our clients.

Safe provision of records

It is important to be aware that whilst certain payments may have been deferred temporarily, returns must still be made on time, including all tax, company and VAT returns.

We have provided clients with the opportunity to safely drop off paper-based records, without any need for contact. We have also been promoting our digital means of submitting records, including AutoEntry and email.

Making Tax Digital for Self-Assessment is due to be introduced in 2021, so being set up for digital submission of records is about to become doubly important.

If you haven’t yet embraced digital means of document submission, please do get in touch with your usual contact and we’ll guide you through getting set-up.

Claiming support funds

We have been busy claiming funds on behalf of our clients and have in the past month recovered some £225,000 in much needed financial support.

This has been made up of a number of Job Retention Scheme (JRS) claims and Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan (CBIL) applications, both of which we provided information on in our last post on useful coronavirus resources.

Here to support YOU

If there is anything we can do to assist you with your limited company returns, VAT, Self-Assessment, payroll or any other bookkeeping related task, you are welcome to get in touch.

If you are an existing client of Office Assistants and you haven’t yet talked to us about any financial support you may be entitled to during the coronavirus pandemic, we urge you to get in touch as soon as you can. So many clients have been able to realise reassurance by way of furlough payments or business interruption loans and we are ready and waiting to help you make your claim should you be eligible.
